Large custom pressure vessel in fabrication

HEZE HUAWANG manufactures pressure vessels and process equipment against approved project drawings, specifications and applicable codes.

MANUFACTURING SCOPE

Fabrication scope

The following describes assessable manufacturing directions, not unconditional or fixed-rating commitments.
  • Large and heavy equipment assessment
  • Special dimensions and complex structures
  • Complex nozzles and internal interfaces
  • Sectional fabrication review
  • Heavy lifting and internal handling
  • Transport and site-interface planning

DESIGN & FABRICATION

Design and fabrication considerations

Materials, structure, inspection and process requirements remain governed by approved project documents and the applicable code.
01

Project document completeness

Design drawings, specification, data sheet, quality plan, documentation requirements and division of design and fabrication responsibility should be clarified early.

02

Material and forming

Material, thickness, plate width, shell diameter and forming requirements are reviewed together. The 120 mm value is an equipment capability, not a guarantee for every combination.

03

Structure and interfaces

Complex nozzles, internals, supports and transport reinforcement require coordinated fabrication sequence, welding access, inspection space and final assembly.

04

Sectional fabrication

Segmentation depends on design permission, shop positions, heat treatment, transport route and site assembly conditions, not on diameter or length alone.

05

Inspection and heat treatment

RT, UT, MT, PT and TOFD methods are available, together with an approximately 5 m × 5 m × 25 m heat-treatment furnace; applicability depends on material, joint, dimensions, procedure and project specification.

06

Lifting and transport

The 150 t maximum lifting foundation is subject to weight distribution, centre of gravity, lifting points, work position, transport envelope and route for each vessel.

QUALITY CONTROL

Fabrication and quality-control route

  1. 01Technical clarification and manufacturability review
  2. 02Material and critical-process planning
  3. 03Cutting, rolling and large fit-up
  4. 04Welding and dimensional control
  5. 05NDE and heat treatment where required
  6. 06Internals, connections and final assembly review
  7. 07Testing, final inspection and documentation
  8. 08Heavy lifting, transport and site interface

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

01What must be confirmed before pricing a large custom vessel?

In addition to drawings and design conditions, material, dimensions and weight, quality requirements, segmentation, transport route and site lifting and installation constraints should be clarified early.

02Does 120 mm rolling capability apply to every material?

No. It is an equipment capability value. Material, plate width, shell diameter, forming quality and project procedure requirements must be reviewed together.

03Must every large vessel be fabricated in sections?

No. The decision depends on design permission, shop positions, heat treatment, transport and site assembly conditions.

04Does 150 t lifting capacity mean any 150 t vessel can be lifted directly?

No. Centre of gravity, lifting points, orientation, work position, rigging and safe operating conditions govern the actual plan.

05Can manufacturability be discussed before drawings are final?

Yes, provided the document revision, open points and change responsibility are clear. Early comments are for feasibility discussion; final fabrication follows approved documents.
